Mainbot, creator of the first metaverse educational video game, The Winkyverse, and IMPS, global licensee of the Smurfs, announce their partnership to take their first steps into The Winkyverse metaverse.

The Winkyverse is an inviting and accessible universe aimed at all audiences, adults, children and families. By offering a wide choice of quests and gameplay, which are as many opportunities for learning, and envisioning a world where humans and nature live in harmony, it makes players sensitive to cooperation, acquiring knowledge and protecting the environment .
It was developed with a special focus on ethics in the metaverse. This ethic is exemplified by the use of a future blockchain as neutral as possible in terms of carbon impact, the establishment of an ethics committee to ensure the safety of the experiment and finally the establishment of a foundation to donate 2% of profits to environmental, education and children’s associations.
The Smurfs, little blue and endearing characters created by Peyo, will celebrate their 65th birthday in 2023. Known for their edutainment values, the stories of the Smurfs convey joy, positivity, team spirit and ecological awareness. The Smurf license is managed by IMPS, which has purchased a large number of derivative products since 1984.
Entering the metaverse in 2020, the Smurfs continue their rise by becoming the first landowners in Pomokata, the first biome of the Winkyverse, the start of a playful, creative and responsible partnership.
This entrance in The Winkyverse is done as part of a big event, the first public sale of country November 22 at 6:00 PM CET on winkyverse.io. The previous sale took place privately last September and was a great success with 50% of the land sold within an hour. The purchase of land can be done this time in fiat (payment by bank card in traditional currencies such as the euro and the dollar) or in WNK tokens (virtual currency of the game).
“The Smurfs embody the values of collaboration, mutual aid, learning that we want to create with our gaming experience. The arrival of this globally recognized and valued brand is an important step in the development of The Winkyverse. As is the possibility of fiat- payment that aims to make access to experiences in the metaverse more accessible,” said Boris Kesler, CEO of Mainbot.
“We are thrilled with this new partnership with The Winkyverse. We know that the Smurfs have a special bond with children and that is why edutainment is very important to us. Learning while having fun in the metaverse, isn’t it smurfing? said Fabienne Gilles, Head of Consumer Products and Business Development at IMPS
